Our aim to provide an accurate and fast diagnosis through consultation with pathologists located in other institutions.
Performance of telepathology requires that a pathologist sends representative images or virtual slides for the case to be examined. The patient is the first to benefit from this communication. Especially, the patient who will be transfered to another institution for the final treatment. So, this practice will help avoiding multiple biopsies. Furthermore, telepathology help to contact subspecialty pathologists such as a renal pathologist, a neuropathologist, or a dermatopathologist, for immediate consultations.
Another benefit is to help researchers to consult specialized pathologists in their researchs and educational work.
