A. Wrong, the age and multifocality of the lesion is highly consistent with Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Burkitt’s lymphoma. However, the lesion was formed of monotonous lymphocytes. Neither Langerhans cells nor eosinophils could be detected in this lesion.
B. Right, the age and multifocality of the lesion is highly consistent with Burkitt’s lymphoma and Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Moreover, the lesion was formed of intermediate-sized lymphocytes with small area showing starry sky appearance. Immunohistochemical markers were also supporting the diagnosis; the lesion showed membranous reactivity to CD20. C-myc showed nuclear reactivity as will confirming the diagnosis of Burkitt’s lymphoma.
